At Perfectly Planned Journeys, we believe travel should enrich the lives of travelers while also respecting the places, people, and animals encountered along the way.
Responsible travel does not have to mean perfection. To us, it means making thoughtful choices whenever possible and working with trusted local partners who value their communities, cultures and natural surroundings.
Protecting Animals
Animal experiences can be a meaningful part of travel, but the welfare of the animals must come first. We do not knowingly recommend activities that involve cruelty, neglect, inappropriate handling or conditions that cause animals unnecessary distress.
When considering wildlife encounters, riding experiences, reindeer sledding and other animal-related activities, we do our best to always ensure that we use responsible providers who demonstrate genuine care for their animals. We also favor opportunities to observe wildlife respectfully in its natural habitat.
Supporting Local Communities
Travel should provide meaningful benefits to the people who live in the destinations we visit. We prioritize locally owned accommodations, guides, restaurants, artisans and experience providers whenever they are a good match for our clients.
These choices help keep tourism revenue within the community while giving travelers more personal and authentic connections to the destination.
